Having a stable and cost effective aircraft to capture the imaging is only one part of the operations of UAV/sUAS. The secondary and as important part is the ground station that supports the aircraft in flight. You have to know what you are recording on video, still images, and infared analysis. This can be accomplished with some of the onboard video collection systems, but having a quality ground station to present the captured imaging to the client is a necessity to provide fluid transfer of the correct imaging the client needs.
GA UAV has been designing ground stations for over the last two years. We have implemented multi downlink capabilities to our inhouse ground stations to capture the best possible imaging for our clients. We can downlink video signals in the 900 Mhz, 1,3 Ghz, 5.6 Ghz, and 2.4 Ghz communication system. We provide full HD quality 19" Television monitors to display the actual real-time captured video from the aircraft. We also use video signal diversity systems that can be integrated into our ground stations to provide optimum video downlink by finding the strongest signal through multi antennas and also track the signal for capturing the best video.
HD Ground Station
Our HD Ground station both 900 Hnz, 1.3 GHZ, 5.8 Ghz video downlink systems installed for video capture of the video from the UAV/sUAS, also on all our multi rotor aircraft we have installed a front facing camera for capturing the flight video of the PIC (Pilot in Command) for acting as a black box recording device for operations and regulatory requirements. Our unit has a direct cable connection between the DJI Inspire One aircarft radio based video downlink systen to provide the client with a improved visual prespective of what the camera is recording. Also the ground station has a second 19" monitor to view the PICs front facing camera. Also the downlink system has a DVR built into the unit to record to a separate SD card the front view captured video of the PIC. As with all our ground stations, we include a tablet for review of flight permissions through various software apps such as B4UFly from the FAA, Interference Detector App, Wind Compass app to verify wind conditions, and UAV Forecast to review and verify flight oeprations within our FAA regulatory requirements.
Long Range 900 Mhz
Our long range Ground station system has one 19" TV Monitor, 7" LCD capture video display, and integrated EagleEyes Video Signal Diveristy Antenna System for selelcting the strongest video signals for captured imaging. With our HD download resolution we can deliver high quality imaging for many applications within argicultural applications. As with all our ground stations, we include a tablet for review of flight permissions through various software apps such as B4UFly from the FAA, Interference Detector App, Wind Compass app to verify wind conditions, and UAV Forecast to review and verify flight oeprations within our FAA regulatory requirements.
Industrial Survey Ground Station
Our industrial survey ground station provides a quality operational base station providing real time viewing for engineers, vendors, and maintenance staff. The ground stations video downlink system provides a video diversity tracking system to present the highest quality imaging captured through standard HD camera or near infared/infared cameras. The EagleEyes Video Signal Diveristy System provides all of the following features:
Receiver Diversity - when you connect two NTSC or PAL audio/video receivers (of any frequency), the EagleEyesTM picks the better signal at any given time, which can greatly reduce video fades and improve your FPV experience! A variety of diversity settings are configurable with the on-board switches and LED indicators.
Antenna Tracking - Is your video transmitter suffering from low range? When coupled with our Vector or OSD Pro OSDs, the EagleEyesTM is the heart of a full-featured pan/tilt antenna tracker. Telemetry - When coupled with our Vector or OSD Pro OSDs, all Eagle Tree data (not just GPS position) are transmitted to your laptop, via your video transmitter and the EagleEyesTM USB port (separate USB cable required). Your model's flight can then be graphed and displayed with our powerful software, or visualized (either in real time or after your flight) with Google Earth! With the EagleEyesTM, telemetry is embedded invisibly in the video, rather than in the audio channel. We chose video telemetry because it is much more reliable and faster than audio telemetry, and audio telemetry takes up your audio channel, so you can't hear motor sounds, Vector or OSD Pro voice prompts, etc.
Four Channel A/V Distribution - Ever wish you had more video/audio outputs? The EagleEyesTM has four built-in outputs!
Programmable Low Voltage Alarm - How is your ground station battery doing? Now you can program a low voltage alarm buzzer, which alerts you when your battery is below your chosen voltage. The buzzer can also be programmed to alert for other conditions, such as poor telemetry signal.
PowerPanel LCD Display - Now you can plug our PowerPanel LCD directly into the EagleEyes, and snap it inside the EagleEyes case, for real-time GPS position display, with additional display features coming soon. With the LCD, the last known GPS position is remembered and displayed, in case you lose contact with your model.
